Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Pakistan Journal of Medicine and Surgical Aesthetics (PJMSA) operates as an open-access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide. To cover the costs associated with the editorial process, peer review, production, and online hosting, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $150 is applicable for each accepted manuscript.

This fee is payable upon acceptance of the article and covers the following:

• Manuscript processing and management through the submission and peer-review stages.
• Editorial review and quality assurance.
• Formatting, typesetting, and online publication.
• Long-term archiving and accessibility of the published article.

Introductory Offer

To encourage submissions and support early contributors, the first two issues of PJMSA will be published free of APC. Authors submitting manuscripts for these issues will not be required to pay any processing charges.

Waiver Policy

PJMSA is committed to promoting global research and may offer partial or full APC waivers to authors from low-income or developing countries or those facing financial constraints. Authors requesting a waiver should submit a formal application along with their manuscript. Waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by the editorial board.

Refund Policy

APCs are charged only after the manuscript has successfully passed the peer-review process and is accepted for publication. As the fee supports various stages of the publication process, it is non-refundable, even if the author withdraws the manuscript after acceptance.
